Sorry, We're Closed...

When the cowboy rides off into the sunset, it is never easy to leave the good friends he has made behind. The last thing you see is his silhouette as he tips his hate farewell. As I ride through the Ranch gates for the final tine I truly hope that to be able to continue working with you all. Thanks to the web, cell phones and email I hope we can make this happen. While I may never be able to again claim "all web and no cattle" I hope to be able to say, "what's next" to you rather than goodbye.

Flying I Ranch has truly been an amazing experience. As I think back on everything we accomplished and learned I also look forward to growing those experiences in the future. Working with all of you has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and the lessons learned will be with me forever. Thank you all very much for being such an integral part of the last half-decade.

Man, what a rush! I frankly can't believe we did this for just over five years. Awesome. I'm writing this now, several months after we officially closed our doors... I don't think I could've done so much earlier. Now, I don't have any regrets about the Ranch - none at all, including closing when we did. We had done our job, grown as people and as technicians, businesspeople, community members... and now we'll continue that growth in new directions.

That leads me to what I am most proud of with regard to the Ranch - when I reflect on what we did, it's not the technical innovations, the beautiful vistas we created - it's not the work product that makes me really believe we excelled. It's the relationships we created, the way we conducted ourselves, the professional and personal ethics that were never questioned at the Ranch. I have truly enjoyed working with all of you. Hope to see you at the saloon 'fore too long!
